The many companies intent on harvesting Wyoming wind to generate electricity will be expected to offer the state more than just wind turbines and their associated impacts, Gov. Dave Freudenthal said today in his keynote address to the Wyoming Wind Symposium.

Horizon Wind Project Now on Hold Indefinitely
Project manager Nate Sandvig said last week that his company has decided not to submit a permit application to the Wyoming Industrial Siting Council based on the state’s recent decision not to allow wind energy development in key sage grouse habitats. “There are too many unknowns,” Sandvig said.
