CHEYENNE, WYO. — At a A Bureau of Land Management oil and gas lease sale held Tuesday $3.6 million for leasing rights and rental fees were generated. Of that amount, the state of Wyoming gets half.
The sale attracted attracted bids on more than 77,700 acres in 75 parcels located throughout the state. A total of 76 parcels with more than 79,000 acres were offered for sale. The highest per-acre bid at $430 went for a parcel in Sweetwater County. The highest bid for a single parcel was $423,600 for 1,764 acres in Carbon County.
The BLM Wyoming office’s next oil and gas lease sale will be held Nov. 2 in Cheyenne.
