Wind Industry “Road Show” in Casper Today
CHEYENNE — Wind energy developers are hosting a ”wind road show” in Casper as they court public opinion. This follows a similar presentation in Cheyenne yesterday.
Today’s event will be at the McMurry Training Center in Casper from 4:30-7 p.m. A free barbecue dinner is being offered at both events, along with presentations about wind power by the American Wind Energy Association and talks by landowners who have been impacted by wind development.
The Wyoming Infrastructure Authority also will be presenting information about transmission lines.
Wind power in the state has almost quadrupled in the past four years, and there are several new projects in the works.
